An open letter to the Cold (as in temperature)

Dear Cold Temperatures,

I know, I know. It's November 3rd and I live in Michigan. It's gonna be cold, I get it. But I am SO not ready for it. At. All. I'm freezing. I've lived in Las Vegas for the last three years and I miss the warm.

Did I mention I'm freezing? My new apartment has radiators and I'm not exactly positive they're working all the time, but I turn the knob in the "on" direction and hope for the best.

My parents gave me a heater that looks like a little fireplace. I use it ALL the time.

It's 31 degrees out right now. 31!! I came home tonight and the apartment was freezing. I had to turn on the heater, put on long sweater, a scarf, socks and slippers! Then I wrapped up in the warmest blanket I own just to warm up. Sigh. I guess I'm a little warmer now... but my feet are still freezing. It's ridiculous. I swear.

So look, Cold Weather, I'm gonna be in Vegas this weekend and it's going to be warm and sunny there. When I get back, can you make your trip to this part of the country short this season? Maybe warm up in March instead of June? I know it's asking alot, but I can only take so many nights of bundling up like this.

Thanks for listening.

Love, Megan

  1. As much as I hate to tell you this - if it warms up in MI in March, it's unbearable in Houston by June.. ;o)

Though, I know what you mean - I'm at stages where my nose is beginning to get cold at times. I hate that. There never seems to be a cure for a cold nose.

(As for me stopping by, thank @LaBarceloneta for her blog. It was her recommendation and a fairly good one, too..) Likewise, thank you for stopping by my blog... ;o)
